We would like to extend a warm welcome to you and your child to Bumblebees - Stoke Gabriel Pre School.
Our fully qualified Early Years practitioners are waiting to welcome you into our pre school setting. You will find us in the school building in the beautiful village setting of Stoke Gabriel.
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and use Tapestry to observe and plan for our children. Our Preschool lead is Hayley Butler who ensures the provision is inspiring, inclusive and captivating. Hayley works closely with our EYFS lead and Reception teacher, Sarah Gaskin. The two classes come together often to share experiences such as P.E and our weekly outdoor learning sessions.
In pre-school we section the room into different areas including the book nook, role play corner, messy play, small world play, and we have English and Maths provision. We encourage the children to develop a healthy approach and understanding of their body’s needs for food and drinks. We offer a healthy, varied snack during the session which gives them the opportunity to learn to make the right choices during a time for social interaction.
We are lucky enough to have free flow access to an outside space with a sheltered area which is solely for EYFS use. This area is used on a daily basis in all weathers. We set up carefully planned, inviting provision in the outside space to support learning in all areas through play, to spark curiosity and develop the children in all areas.
We offer an outdoor learning experience on a Tuesday where we make great use of our local area and outdoor classroom which is situated on our field. Reception come to join us too!
