"All the way through his schooling at Stoke Gabriel Primary my son has been nurtured, supported, encouraged and celebrated for his efforts. The consistency of this amazingly high level of teaching hasn't changed or dropped despite the staff changes that are inevitable in the schooling system today. As a parent I couldn't be more grateful to the School and the Academy for the amazing Primary School experience we have been fortunate enough to have had."

Welcome to Butterflies Class

We are a friendly, creative and happy bunch of year 3 and 4 children. We love learning and always want to challenge ourselves to find out and learn more! We work hard to develop a positive attitude to our learning and we always make sure we try our best. Butterflies class always take care of each other and work as a team to make sure everyone feels happy!

Our teacher is Mrs Ansermoz. Ms Middlebrook helps in our classroom.

PE lessons are on a Tuesday and on a Friday with our PE coach Mr Tanner. Please ensure that PE kit is worn to school on these days.

At the start of every half term spellings, times tables and a homework grid are sent home. Children are expected to read every day at home (this may be independently or to an adult). Children need to also practise their spellings and times tables a couple of times a week. See below for ideas for practising spellings and timetables. Children also have access to Times Tables Rock Stars .

Our class homework grid provides fun, engaging and challenging activities that link to what we are covering in school. It also provides an excellent opportunity to extend learning and practice skills across a wide range of subjects. Our aim of homework is to give opportunities that consolidate or extend learning in school, practise skills learnt in school across different contexts and develop character skills such as teamwork, independence, resilience, understanding and managing feelings, empathy and considering our actions.
