Stoke Gabriel Primary is a thriving friendly school in the beautiful village of Stoke Gabriel which is situated on a creek of the River Dart. Our school was founded in 1686 and has been a central feature of the community for many generations, the original school building dates from 1876. We are part of the Totnes Hub of Village Schools, within the Link Academy Trust and we are situated just outside the town of Totnes, in the wonderful South Hams which has been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Our school achieves high academic standards through the provision of an exciting curriculum that makes the most of our beautiful surroundings, a caring, nurturing environment with a family atmosphere and a team of dedicated staff, parents and Governors who strive to meet the requirements of every child.
Our school is a vibrant and exciting place to work in, yet our small size enables us to know every child, understand their needs, their talents and the things that motivate them. We aim to help them discover their potential and enable them to develop it.
Stoke Gabriel Primary School has a good reputation built on high standards and a caring ethos, but we are always looking for ways to improve so that we meet the challenges of preparing children for the future.
With links to our partner schools within the Trust and the local community, our children are given lots of learning opportunities outside the classroom and exciting experiences in all areas of the curriculum.
